Define the Character's Personality
The first step in creating your custom character is to define their personality. This is the core essence of who your character is. Think about the kind of traits and behaviors you want your character to exhibit. Some examples include:
Lady
Polite, sophisticated, and charming.
Drama Queen
Emotional, expressive, and loves to be the center of attention.
Dreamer
Imaginative, introspective, and always thinking of the future.
Choose a personality that aligns with the kind of interactions you want to have with your character.
Select Character Traits
Next, you'll select specific traits that further define your character's behavior. These traits add depth to the personality you've chosen and influence how your character reacts in different scenarios. Some examples of traits include:
Jealous
Easily feels envious and may react strongly to perceived competition.
Innocent
Naive, trusting, and often unaware of the darker side of situations.
Adventurous
Loves trying new things and is always up for a challenge.
Choose traits that complement the personality and create a well-rounded character.
Choose a Scenario
Now, decide on the typical scenarios or settings where your character is likely to be found. The scenario sets the stage for the interactions you'll have. Some example scenarios include:
On the beach
Relaxing by the sea, enjoying the sun and waves.
In the restaurant
Dining out, enjoying good food, and conversation.
At the park
Walking through nature, enjoying the fresh air and tranquility.
Choose a personality that aligns with the kind of interactions you want to have with your character.
Here, users can write examples like: "I am your husband, we have three kids, and we live in New York in a penthouse."
Create an Example Conversation
The most crucial part of your custom character creation is defining their knowledge and personal background. This will be reflected in the conversations you have. Consider the following when creating an example conversation:
Background Information
Where is your character from? What is their place of birth? What do they know about their past and family?
Personal Details
What are their interests, hobbies, or favorite things to do? What experiences have shaped them?
Knowledge Base
What topics are they well-versed in? What do they know or believe about the world?
In this section, users can also set the mood of the chat.
For example:
Example Conversation:
Character Name: Sarah
Desciption: Sarah is from Paris, born and raised in a small apartment overlooking the Seine. She’s passionate about art and spends her days painting and visiting galleries.
This example conversation helps define what your character knows and the type of interactions they will have.
Link the Custom Character to a Girlfriend
Once you've completed all the above steps, it's time to link your custom character to an existing girlfriend within the DreamGF app. This is a one-time action, meaning that once the character is linked, it cannot be edited or reassigned.
Important: Each custom character creation costs 5 tokens. Ensure that all details are correct before finalizing the link.
Choose Whether the Character is Public or Private
After creating and linking your character, you can choose whether to make the character public or keep it private:
Private Character
Only you can interact with this character. It will be a unique experience tailored exclusively for you.
Public Character
If you choose to make your character public, other users in the DreamGF community will be able to chat with your character. Additionally, they can rate the character based on their interactions.
Benefits of a Public Character:
Community Interaction
Engage with the broader DreamGF community and see how others interact with your creation.
Leaderboard Rankings
Public characters are eligible for the DreamGF leaderboard, which tracks the most chatted and top-rated characters. High-performing characters can earn their creators token rewards, fostering a vibrant and competitive community.
Important: Once you choose to make a character public or private, this setting cannot be changed. Be sure to make the right choice for how you want to experience and share your character.
Additional Customization Options
To further refine your custom character, consider the following options:
Description
Here, you describe your character in more detail. For example: "Sarah is a 28-year-old artist from Paris who loves spending her days immersed in her creative work. She’s warm, thoughtful, and has a deep appreciation for the beauty in everyday life."
Behavior Type (i.e., Temperature):
This scale ranges from predictable and dry behavior to balanced or unpredictable and crazy behavior. Characters with a more unpredictable behavior type may have a higher chance of hallucinating, adding an element of surprise to your interactions.
Occupation
Define what your character does for a living. For example: "Stewardess," "Artist," "Engineer," or "Chef." This adds another layer of depth to your character’s background and the types of conversations they will engage in.
